Bulk Cell Sorting by Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS™)
Flow Cytometry can be used to provide a quick and quantitative determination of cell properties when sorting a heterogeneous mixture of cells. This technique, known as bulk cell sorting by FACS™, is best when you want to obtain a highly pure population and recover large amounts of cells for further downstream analysis. Virtually any population that can be identified by standard flow cytometry techniques can be sorted.
FlowMetric is able to sort (aseptically or non-aseptically in a BSL-2 safety cabinet) up to four individual cell populations, engaging up 16 parameters, from a single sample. Bulk cell sorting population samples can be sorted into media and expanded for additional in vitro experiments, sorted into lysis buffer for downstream genomic profiling, or even rested and frozen for shipment back to you.
