Rachel brings both scientific excellence and business insights to her role at FlowMetric, Inc. Rachel is an expert in polychromatic flow cytometry and immunology-based assays in several species types.
Prior to joining FlowMetric, Rachel worked for over 7 years at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company, as an in vitro and in vivo scientist. While at Janssen, Rachel led multiple initiatives, specifically collaborating with external CROs and academic institutions to streamline internal business while satisfying multiple stakeholders. Rachel was charged with establishing and maintaining strong relationships with external partners critical to the success of her department. Rachel has authored more than 10 peer reviewed scientific manuscripts and holds several patents. In addition, she developed and led a Global Mentoring Program that was integrated across the entire J&J Enterprise.
She received her MS in Molecular Pathology from the University of Texas at Houston in 2005 and then earned her MBA in Pharmaceutical Management from Drexel’s Lebow College of Business in 2010. She is also a current member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA).
